NOV is recruiting a Quality Assurance Advisor, to be based in Luanda, Angola.
Duties
- The establishment, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System procedures and work instructions
- The establishment, monitoring, analysis and reporting of quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for review and as a basis for continuous improvement of the quality system
- Reporting of quality KPI’s to management in South Africa and United Kingdom
- Leading risk assessments related to the quality of product and service and to meeting customer delivery dates
- Assist in contingency planning related to business risk assessments
- Assist in management of change processes related to business risk assessments
- Leading root cause investigations and responding to customer complaints and product nonconformities
- Assist in the identification and recording of any problems relating to the product, process or quality system and initiate, recommend or provide solutions to quality problems
- Review and approval of product Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s)
- Evaluation of suppliers and supplier performance
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues including external quality audits
- Developing and implementing QMS training outlines or tools designed to provide the required support for training requirements
- Conducting quality assurance induction training
- The identification, procurement and interpretation of standards, codes and specifications
- Develop and maintain an index (list) of all quality documentation, procedures, standards and specifications
- Planning, scheduling, and determining scope and depth of internal audits in accordance with the applicable standard (i.e. API Q1, ISO 9001) requirements
- Communicating the audit plan and results with applicable management and personnel and maintaining audit records
- Assist in all aspects of corrective action and preventive action execution when necessary and determining the adequacy of actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensuring that changes to quality documentation resulting from corrective and preventive actions are implemented and records of corrective and preventive actions maintained
- Comply and / or assist with any procedural requirements that may be revised or implemented as a result of any improvement to the quality management system
Requisites
- A Diploma or Certificate in Quality Management or Production Management and a minimum of three years in an engineering environment, or a minimum of seven years’ experience in an engineering environment
- Understanding of production and operational processes used by TVCL.
Understanding of API Specification Q1 and ISO 9001
- Read and write in English and Portuguese. (Being able to translate from English to Portuguese will be an advantage)
- Read and understand engineering drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- EXxperience in quality auditing would be an advantage
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
